TOMIN LIFE REVISITED

‘Life Revisited’ is the new single from multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger Tomin. It’s a unique, short track that feels reflective and somber, with two keyboards bouncing off of each other; one playing a simple, repeating chord sequence, and another improvising with jittery poise. On the track’s unique genesis, he explains: “I came up with the chords for ‘Life Revisited’ by popping out the tape that I recorded ‘Life’ on, flipping it, putting it back into my 4-track, and playing it backwards. I was immediately struck by how reversing what was a joyous chord progression resulted in a melancholy progression instead.” Tomin has released his twenty-four-track album, Flores para Verene / Cantos para Caramina, check it out now, via International Anthem. -Dan Peeke
